In Perspectives

In a continued celebration of our new office (99 Monroe Ave), I decided to sample a burger at Z’s Bar & Restaurant. Z’s is actually located in the back of our new building and I am sure will become a crowd favorite for everyone in the new office. Z’s opened in 1982, the same year as the Amway Grand hotel, and has been a downtown staple ever since. Z’s has a lively atmosphere and a bunch of historical photos on the walls that are definitely worth a trip down memory lane.

Z’s is famous for their award winning ribs, voted best in Grand Rapids 7 times, but the burgers are also worth a try. The burger I had was the Z’s burger which consists of cheddar cheese, bacon, and Z’s famous BBQ sauce, all on a half-pound patty (you won’t leave hungry). What separates this burger from the rest is the BBQ sauce, it is fantastic! If you are planning on coming downtown to check out Art Prize this year consider Z’s for some nourishment along the way!
